My Sisterlock Journey

This gallery is dedicated to documenting my Sisterlock journey. My installation / establishment was completed on Dec 18th 2012. I have 396 Sisterlocks. My edges are extremely weak due to the weight of micro braids that I had put in they broke my poor edges (NEVER AGAIN)...so here goes!!!!!

4 Months down...had my re-tightening yesterday...I'm back down to the patches....but all of you that said they would fill in...you were right...you were right...Best hair decision EVER...Sisterlock and loving it

(Day 10) I have to say I'm enjoying the look of the roller set....it's hanging on in there...my curls have fallen nicely ....and look at my EDGES...they are growing IN....Oh Yeah Oh Yeah...getting my edges back....boom boom pow :)
(1 Week) - First week under my belt, no hiding under a scarf I just let my little Baby Sisterlocks stand on their own.
(Day 5) - Hello hello..after watching several YouTube videos about natural hair accessories I've decided to rock scarfs.

(2 Months) Today my little Sisterlocks made 2 months I rolled my hair last to help cover up some of my scaply patches. I'm liking the results

(Day 5) - I'm totally feeling myself and this scarf. I'm slowing falling in love with my Sisterlocks....I still don't like all of the scalp but taking it one day at a time.

Seven Month Right Side
6 Months - I've been rocking my Sisterlocks for just about six months. They are filling in nicely. I wasn't prepared for how HOT my head gets now that the warmer months are upon us....I guess I had grown use to wearing my hair in my "Afro Puff". We shall see how this summer progresses, I think it will be fine, just wish my hair was a little longer that I could try a few "updo" hairstyles. Still enjoying the journey ~ Stormy ~
Me and my kids participated in the 5k Color Run in Winston Salem, NC....I had to be cute and stylish...YET protect my Sisterlocks from all that powder....WHAT a great time....highly recommend it.....This is going to be an annual event for the Long Family. (Day 10) I'm just down right silly at times..."I SEE YOU" my little sisterlock babies
(1 Week) I just can't keep my hands out of my hair, I'm always touching and twirling. I try not to pull them or anything like that, but it's hand to head every 5 seconds
(Day 5) Now I'm just having fun in front of the camera.

Seven Month Update....My consultant is going to KILL ME....I missed my appointment and my poor edges have just run wild....One good thing however is there isn't a patch in sight...LOL

Losing weight feeling great....seriously the only thing I had to do to my hair was spray a little water on it and woop I'm done
(8 Weeks) These scalpy patches...I can't stand them but hopefully with time they will go AWAY
